Amarantos Quartet needed a logo which reflected their philosophy “That good, live music should be accessible, sociable and experienced often”. Performing a variety of pieces, from composer Leoš Janáček to Radiohead, my goal was to create a logo that spoke more about the quartet’s philosophy than their music.

 

I chose a font with minimal decorative elements and vintage style to appeal to their young modern audience while still achieving a polished professional look. The block printed style of the logo also invokes their previous self produced promotional materials which were all hand lettered with rubber stamps.
